The advertiser must ensure that he has obtained the appropriate permission reproduce any artwork, logos, designs, trade names and trade service marks which he/she has supplied to or asked the company to incorporate in any advertisement to be published in the company's publications.
It is a condition of acceptance of advertising orders that the BRITBOUND Group does not guarantee the insertion of particular advertisement on a specific date or at all.
Further, BRITBOUND Group does not accept liability for any loss or damage caused by an error or inaccuracy in the printing of any advertisement, by the appearance of an advertisement in an edition other than the one specified, or its acceptance in a position in the magazine other than the one requested. Below are our terms and conditions.
They include the usual legal jargon (yawn!), but we have tried to keep them simple as possible. It is important for you to read the terms and conditions below, as well as the privacy statement. Certain areas of the Site are only available to you if you register. However, these Terms and Conditions will apply whether you are a registered user or not. Please read this page carefully.
If you do not accept the Terms and Conditions then you may not use the Site and facilities. In using the Site you are accepting these Terms and Conditions. We may revise these terms at any time by updating this posting.
The terms 'you/your' used here refers to all individuals and/or entities accessing the Site for any reason, and 'BritBound.co.uk and 'we/us' refers to BritBound.
The term "Adviser/Advisers" means anyone engaged by us to answer queries or offer information or advice on the Site.
2.1 On acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, you may browse the areas of the Site that do not require registration, including viewing and posting questions on the Advisers' pages and viewing the job vacancy pages.
2.2 Subject to registration, you may:
- create a user profile;
- use the other facilities available in your personalised registered area.
2.3 You may be restricted from areas that contain sensitive or confidential information belonging to third parties.
2.4 You will ensure that any information or material you post or submit for publication on the site:

2.8 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BritBound.com from all claims costs and expenses arising out of a breach by you of any of Clauses 2.3 to 2.7 above.
3.1 On registration, you must provide us with accurate and complete registration information and it is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to that information.
4.1 We encourage you to use discretion while browsing the internet. Our Site contains links to external sites. Although we check such links from time to time, we have no control over these sites or have any responsibility for them. We cannot therefore be responsible for any content that some people may find offensive or inappropriate or which is inaccurate, misleading or in any other way unlawful. For the same reason, we cannot be responsible for information, materials, products or services on or available from external sites or any third parties you access through the Site, nor for any damage, loss or offence caused, or alleged to be caused, by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any information, materials, content, advertising, products or services available from such external sites or third parties.
4.2 Any dealings between you and any third party accessed on or via the Site, including payment for and delivery of information, materials, products, services and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations, associated with such dealings, are solely between you and the relevant third party. If you become aware of any such distribution or commercial exploitation, you agree to notify us immediately.

10.1 On registration, we will send you an email confirming your registration details.
10.2 Use of the content received through this service will be subject to these Terms and Conditions.
10.3 We may email registered users, including those who do not choose to receive regular updates from us, if we make a change to our product or service that affects our service to you and if action is needed to restore this service.
11.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or that of our servants, agents or employees.
11.2 You acknowledge that the information and material available on or through the Site is for your general information and use and is not intended to address your particular requirements. 11.9 We aim to provide a consistent and high level or service to all our customers but please note any assistance provided to you by means of our Help Desk facility must be solely at your risk.
12.1 Each provision of these Terms and Conditions shall be construed as separately applying and surviving even if for any reason one or other of those provisions is held to be inapplicable or unenforceable in any circumstances. No waiver by us shall be construed as a waiver of any preceding or succeeding breach of any provision.
12.2 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to their subject matter and exclude any representations and warranties previously given or made other than any negligent or fraudulent misrepresentation and may be amended only by us on notice to you by posting on the Site.
12.3 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall be construed as creating any agency, partnership or any other form of joint enterprise between you and us.
12.4 These Terms and Conditions are exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales whose courts will have exclusive jurisdiction in any dispute, save that we have the right at our sole discretion to commence and pursue proceedings in alternative jurisdictions.

This document relates primarily to the privacy of information stored on: our readers and other travellers; advertisers past present or future; distributors; backpacker operators generally; and other industry partners (hereafter collectively called "clients").
The following principles outline how we will collect, use, disclose, store and dispose of your personal information, in both paper and electronic form.
A. Collection & Use
1. BritBound will only store information that is of direct commercial interest to the company.
2. This information is collected for the purposes of providing products or services to our clients.
3. From time to time we will mail or email information to our clients regarding BritBound, its products and services. Should any recipient wish not to receive such information, they can request to be removed from our mailing or email list and we will promptly comply with that request.
4. We will always use fair and lawful ways to collect personal information.
5. We will always collect information directly from a client if it is reasonable and practicable to do so.
6. Reasonable steps will be taken to ensure personal information is relevant, accurate and current.
B. Storage & Security
1. We will take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
2. Access to personal information is restricted to authorised BritBound personnel only.
3. Electronic data will be secured by password, and paper data will be kept in a locked filing cabinet wherever practical. (Production records and other non-sensitive information are excluded from this requirement.)
C. Access
1. Clients can, at reasonable notice, access any data entered about them by BritBound since December 21st 2001.
2. There will be no charge for supplying this information other than retrieval and transmission costs.
3. Proof of ID will be required before any information is disclosed.
4. We may refuse to supply personal information where such refusal is allowable by law.
D. Destruction
1. To the extent that it is reasonably possible, BritBound will make every effort to securely dispose of client records.
2. We will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify personal information if we no longer need it for any purpose for which we may use or disclose the information.
E. Passing of information to third parties.
1. BritBound will not pass any information of a sensitive, confidential or personal nature to a third party unless: (a) that client consents to us doing so; or (b) that disclosure is authorised or required by law.
F. BritBound.co.uk, and linked Websites
1. BritBound operates a website under the www.BritBound.co.uk address. This website helps users source products and services, and assists with their travel planning.
2. We may use a feature on your browser called a cookie to assign your computer a "user ID". Cookies do not contain information by which BritBound can identify you, however they do identify your computer to our server. You may configure your browser so that you are notified before a cookie is downloaded, or so that your browser does not accept cookies. (To disable your cookies, please refer to the Help menu within your Internet browser.)
3. To the extent that BritBound's websites contain links to sites operated by third parties and not related to BritBound products, services or events, these linked websites are not controlled by BritBound and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of those companies.
